I just ran into an excellent article at Townhall.com, discussing the possibilities on how Obama will use the massive database of emails and supporter info he generated via his social network and on the internet.
Republicans are taking a serious unbiased look at what Obama has done and intend to replicate and surpass his achievements in 2012, as they should. It’s very cool that they are taking this opportunity for the greater good of their party, instead of just scoffing at Obama’s successes.

Obama’s ability to bypass the mainstream media and deliver his message directly is a very good thing. And it will be even better when both parties have the ability and the public can get information unfiltered.
Of course the mainstream media will still have a big job to do in vetting the information that is spread, but it will be interesting to see all this play out over the next few years.
